Holy Rosary Bell Tower

Atop the ridge in West Seattle is Holy Rosary, a Tuscan Romanesque-style church. ESW’s Restoration team worked on the beginning stages of the Bell Tower Retrofit. Our skilled team ground down and re-pointed defective masonry joints, replaced around 30 spalled brick, and replaced damaged steel lintels. The cast stone and brick re-support ledges were removed, cleaned and re-caulked. The tower’s exterior was cleaned of biological growth and efflorescence. The seismic retrofit was completed by the General Contractor in October 2019 – now the tower will be stable during any seismic activity.
