St. Martin of Tours

The Nisqually Earthquake significantly compromised the sanctuary of this 80-year-old church in Fife, WA. VanWell Masonry Restoration seismically strengthened the front of the sanctuary building using a pinning technique to the decorative sandstone that surrounds the giant stained glass window. This is a process where stabilizers are drilled through the sandstone at an angle into the surrounding block to reinforce the stained glass window from any future seismic activity. The parish house chimney was also restored and sealed.
